In Waterloo Region, nine developmental service agencies offer a variety of respite programs, both in-home and out-of-home. These programs serve people of varying ages with a variety of different needs and interests. Admission Criteria : | Blair Rd is a residence with six permanent beds in the home. The home is staffed from 3pm to 7:30am daily and 24 hours on the weekend. This house is generally single staffed. The night staff does sleep at Blair Rd. The respite bed is suitable to adults who would be identified in the mid to higher functioining range, showing independence in some life skills. The person may function independently in outside activites, utilizing public transit etc. This is a large house with a lot of stairs so the repite guest must be ambulatory and in good health. |
Activities : | Blair Rd does engage in activites outside of the home. If a guest does not have a day program, CLC may be able to provide one at an additional cost |
