Respiteservices.com offers many valuable services geared to assisting families to connect with short planned breaks when caring for a family member with a developmental disability including autism and/or a physical disability.
A Respite Options Facilitator (ROF) may be assigned to your family on a short term basis to provide assistance with respite planning. Respite planning may entail assisting to explore and connect to out of home respite options, respite related private funding sources and additional respite resources.
In instances where your family is connected to a service coordinator or case manager, the Respite Options Facilitator will work with your service coordinator or case manager to provide information and resources as required.
Family Orientations offer an excellent opportunity to learn more about respite resources available in the City of Toronto.

Funding Workshops are small group seminars led by Respite Options Facilitators. During the Funding Workshops, caregivers are guided through Special Services at Home (SSAH) and/or the Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD) applications. Tips and suggestions are provided throughout the session, with additional opportunities to ask questions.
