Description of Individual : Brennan is a good kid that follows routines well. He can be very stubborn at times. He has very limited communication but does very well with yes & no questions. He can use the toilet mostly independent but requires support for all other hygiene routines. He loves watching movies on his iPads but needs help to plug them in to charge them. Brennan requires 24/7 care as he is a vulnerable person with no communication skills. Brennan follows a strict Gluten/Lactose free diet. He has a lot of sensory issues, doesn’t like a lot of textures like grass or hair touching him, doesn’t like a lot of different foods.
Worker's Role : Ensure Brennan’s safety, happiness and health. Provide meds, meals, dressing, bathing, teeth brushing. Brennan independently uses his iPad and likes his own space to do so.
Availability : I would love to find a respite program that is at least partially funded. That Brennan can go to a couple of times a year. So we can recharge.

Description of Individual : Meet Michael, a lively two-year-old with lots of energy. He's been diagnosed with seizures and sometimes has trouble with his behavior. But don't let that fool you - Michael loves being out and about, playing on his tablet, and being with other kids. He can talk a bit, but not too much. He's full of excitement until a seizure comes along, which can sometimes change his mood. He also likes doing things his own way. So, we need someone to keep an eye on him, make sure he's safe, and join in his adventures.
Worker's Role : As a worker for Michael, your role is to make sure he's safe, happy, and having fun. You'll need to keep an eye on him, especially when he's playing or having a seizure. You'll help him do things he likes, like playing on his tablet or being with other kids. Sometimes, you might need to calm him down if he gets upset. Your job is to be patient, kind, and ready to join in his games. You'll also work closely with his parents to make sure you understand his needs and how best to help him.
Availability : We need workers who can be available to help Michael at different times. This might include weekdays or weekends, during the day or in the evening. We're looking for people who can be flexible with their schedules and able to adapt to Michael's needs. Whether it's for a few hours or a full day, we appreciate any time you can give to support him.
