Children's Mental Health Fund The Children's Mental Health Fund can fund respite for a family of a child/youth with a mental health need. The intent of this fund is to prevent permanent placement outside of the home, family breakdown, and/or crisis. To apply for the fund, contact the Respite Coordinator.
Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities Program
This program provides monthly financial assistance to parents for the extraordinary costs associated with having a child with severe and on-going special needs.
Autism Spectrum Disorder Fund This fund can purchase respite for a caregiver of a child/youth under the age of 18 who has an autism spectrum disorder. The funding can be used to engage the child in meaningful and purposeful activities that promote the continuity of skills and/or help to develop new skills and relationships. Additonal Perth Funding
The Respite Flex Fund, can be used to purchase any of the respite options and can be used to fund a respite option for a child or adult. It has been designed to fill gaps in respite services on a short term basis For more information, contact the Respite Coordinator.
Passport Funding
Passport funding helps adults with a developmental disability be involved in their communities and live as independently as possible by providing funding for community participation services and supports, activities of daily living and person-directed planning. The program also provides funding for caregiver respite services and supports for primary caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability. Key goals of the Passport program are to foster independence, increase opportunities for participation in the community, promote social inclusion and broaden social relationships, help young people transition from school to life as an adult, and support families and caregivers of an adult with a developmental disability. Special Services at Home
This program provides funding for the personal development and growth of the family member (0 - 18 years of age) with a disability and secondly for relief and support for the family.
