What is Support/Respite?

Support/Respite is an occasional and temporary service providing support to families caring for a family member with autism, a developmental and/or physical disability. Support/Respite creates greater opportunities for all family members to build an ordinary life.

COMMUNITY HELPERS FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION (CHAP)
SUPPORT WORKER PROGRAM

The CHAP Program facilitates the connection of people with disabilities and registered Support Providers through a Family Registry and Support Provider Database. Please complete a Family Registration Form to connect with a CHAP Support Provider. If you are interested in becoming a CHAP Support Provider, please complete a Support Provider Registration and upload your resume.

CHAP Support Provider Find out more information on becoming a Support Worker and how to register.	CHAP Family Registration Register for CHAP if your family wants to engage a Support Provider. Once registered, a Family Information Package will be emailed to you. It contains information on how to engage with Support Providers/Respite Workers.
