  The disability tax credit (DTC) is a non-refundable tax credit that helps persons with disabilities, or their supporting persons reduce the amount of income tax they may have to pay.

Ontario Autism Program: Childhood Budget

  Children and youth who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by a qualified professional are eligible for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). Children receive services and supports until the age of 18.

Passport

  Passport is a program that helps adults over 18 years old with a developmental disability to participate in their communities. The money can be used for classes, to develop work or life skills, hire a support worker or gain temporary respite.

Special Services at Home

  Families who are caring for a child with a developmental and/or physical disability can apply to the Special Services at Home (SSAH) program to get funding for primary caregiver relief and related supports, or for activities of personal growth or development including camps, and recreational activites like swimming and music classes.

Family Support Options offers a range of supports to families who are caring for a child, up to the age of 18, with a developmental or physical disability living in Wellington County.

Special Services At Home
The Special Services at Home (SSAH) program is funded by the Ministry of Children & Youth Services.

Family Support Options (FSO) Coordinators assist families to apply for SSAH funding which provides one-to-one support in the home or in the person’s community to meet personal development and growth goals. SSAH provides funding for parent relief and related supports to help the family meet their identified needs.
