Respite Options in Waterloo Region

In Waterloo Region, nine developmental service agencies offer a variety of respite programs, both in-home and out-of-home. These programs serve people of varying ages with a variety of different needs and interests. Program Title : Children's Respite - Weekend Parent Relief
Program Time : Year-round, two weekends per month
Program Runs from : Year round
Program Length : Saturday 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and Sunday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Program Cost : Cost of planned activities
Admission Criteria : Children aged 6 to 17 years with a diagnosed developmental delay.
Activities : Scheduled activities and outings are based on the interests and needs of the children in attendance.
Comments : Original referrals come from Developmental Services Access Centre.
Disability / Special Needs : CPR, Crisis Prevention & Intervention (CPI), Developmental Disability, First Aid, Mobility, Personal Care (toileting, diapering), Physical, Physical Disability
