Free Workshops for Caregivers

The Respite Training Initiative offers free workshops to parents, caregivers and respite workers in Central West Region, including Dufferin (Orangeville). These workshops are on a variety of topics, which help the participant better understand Autism Spectrum Disorder.




Workshops topics may include:

• Understanding a New Diagnosis
• Understanding the Social World
• Internet Safety
• Using Visuals
• Getting Ready for Camp
• Behaviour and Communication
• Planning for Daily Transitions
• CPI: Friends and Family
• Strategies for Managing Anxiety

The Central West Region includes Peel, Halton, Dufferin, Wellington and Waterloo. Workshops will be offered in each of these areas however, those living in adjoining regions are welcome to attend.
